About Scottish Country Dancing
Scottish Country Dancing is the social and ballroom
dance of Scotland, currently enjoyed worldwide. It is usually
danced in groups of two, three or four couples, facing each other in lines or squares. It has its roots in the Highland Reels of Scotland and the 17th century dances of Europe.
Now Branches have been established throughout the world and it is possible to dance in countries such as Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Germany and Russia in exactly the same way as we do here.
